Nanban Autism Awareness Day: A Resounding Success!

We are thrilled to announce that Nanban Autism Awareness Day, held on April 2nd at Collin College, was an incredible success! This event, hosted by Nanban Foundation aimed to raise awareness and provide support for individuals with autism and their families. We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming support and participation of our community, which made this day truly special.

Throughout the event, attendees had the opportunity to engage in a variety of enriching programs and activities. From invigorating Yoga sessions to a spirited walkathon, there was something for everyone. We were honored to host esteemed guest speakers from the medical field who specialize in autism along with dedicated Yoga teachers and Physicians. Their informative presentations provided valuable insights into autism and left a lasting impact on all those in attendance.

Nanban Foundation has formed partnerships with several non-profit organizations, including the North Texas Food Bank, Primary Care Clinic of North Texas, My Possibilities, and Rhythm For You. These collaborations are integral to our ongoing efforts to make healthcare accessible to underprivileged individuals and communities and to foster inclusivity and well-being.

A highlight of the event was the silent auction held in support of Nanban Foundation Autism Awareness Day. We extend our deepest gratitude to the incredibly talented artists who generously donated their masterpieces. Their contributions, combined with the support of our attendees, allowed us to raise significant funds for My Possibilities, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing continuing education and job placement opportunities for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in North Texas.

At Nanban Foundation, we remain committed to creating a more inclusive, accepting, and supportive environment for individuals with autism and their families. Through our various initiatives, including our continued focus on promoting sports, arts, green planet initiatives, and affordable healthcare, we strive to make a positive impact on our world.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all our supporters, partners, volunteers, and attendees for their invaluable contributions to the success of Nanban Autism Awareness Day. Together, we are fostering a community of understanding, acceptance, and compassion.
